Zesty Sauce


Just what you need for the current season!

Asparagus is in season! So are artichokes! This is a zippy little, easy-to-make sauce your family and friends will really enjoy!

I’ve used this recipe every year to serve over asparagus for nearly twenty years! Now, it’s time to share this one with you!

Ingredients:

1/3 cup frozen orange juice concentrate

1/3 cup mayonnaise

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Zest of 1/2 an orange, using the rest for garnish if you want (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Makin’ it!

  1. Combine all ingredients in a small sauce pot, whisking together thoroughly until smooth.
  2. Cook over low heat until it JUST comes to a boil.
  3. Serve over asparagus prepared the way you like it and enjoy!

I found this sauce is great over broccoli and cauliflower, but you decide and use it over whatever you like! It’s delicately sweet, tangy flavor makes it very versatile!
